Grunge textured flag of a place I like to call United Scandinavia. Could be a kingdom, federation, empire, etc, I'll leave that up to you, it's an imaginary flag as far as I know.

Standard Nordic cross used, red to represent a unifying bloodline between nations. The other quadrants alternate between yellow and blue to reflect the predominant colours used in other Norse flags. Plus I figure they provide a nice continuous contrast between the warm yellow rays the Nordic countries enjoy for the long summer days, versus the cold midnight blues in winter.

Very inventive, and I must say, I like the idea.
I think it would probably bu a United Royal Federation.
Also, much like VertFey asked, how did you get the grunge texture?

Thank you Shaun :) The grunge texture is a little hard to explain because it resulted from a lot of experimentation, but if you can read my reply to VertFey, I tried to break it down as easily as I could.

A texture I have to desaturate before importing the vector format flags, then resaturate and tonemap all over again after importing the flags.

The original texture came from an image of mine I posted last year: [link]

I blended this texture with an antique sheet of paper from a book I scanned and bought for like a dollar at the local thrift store [link] :)

If you're wondering how I generated the grunge texture in the first place, it resulted from on and off experimentation that I explain in some detail here, in a piece called Cosmic Grunge: [link]

Of course, this Cosmic Grunge was too highly contrasted to use for a texture overlay, but I kept experimenting with different images and post-processing techniques until obtaining my "ideal" grunge texture. (and to build on what I said in the description of Cosmic Grunge, I also went crazy on blurring otherwise crisp textural images in my gallery, so that the Gouache filter could work effectively)
