Love the double sun. Nice landscape.
Think i would have worked away the lensflare...

Thank you :) There was a time I cringed at lens flares and still do to a certain extent when it's added digitally with a quick filter... but now I've grown to appreciate genuine lens flares as I believe it adds to a camera's character and how it sees things differently than us. In this particular case, I think it also weaved itself quite well into the composition as the flare hits the water and then bounces back into the same sky where the sun created the flare in the first place... kind of like a full circle thing to me, but please don't think I'm being defensive or anything, I still very much appreciate your opinion.

I can see the full circle thing, you have a point. There is a nice composition and balance to where the flares are.
Thanks for taking time to look at my opinion.:) (Smile)

But the one that looks like a meteor is to strong in color and brightness, for me, and pulls the attention to much. Ima meteor

I have got about 70 photographs which I consider good and out of them I would say 40 are the best of all I have got.  I posted 15 yesterday and another 15 today and will probably post another 10 next weekend.

thanks Sascha, it's one of my current favourites as the water even managed to reflect the sun flare :) Real pain to process in HDR though =p

Thought you of all people would recognize that subtle detail :) How are you coming along with your plans for learning more about photography? I'm thinking of collaborating with Michael :iconkippa2001: soon (if he's willing of course) to open up a new section on freestock for HDR practice files with separate exposures offered in packs in order to encourage people to start experimenting in an area of photography & processing that seems to be gaining a lot of ground these days.

i try to improve my photography skills as i go along some places and take shots, always try out new stuff i haven't done before. the same goes to manipulations in using them, processing them in tools. i try to explore these things as i lay my hands on some buttons, try to find new combinations, like a child :D where no one tries to lecture me, what's right or wrong. i try to improve in ways to express what i have in mind which is usally more than i could ever actually do. this goes along with the definition of "freedom" that i have for me. i think that i'm free in any way when i find time to be creative, there are no limits, no rules, just so many things left to find, to do. don't know if this makes any sense, but in a nutshell - yes i think, that i'm still learning everyday about this, it's fun like on day 1 :)

i kinda always feel home, when i got some time left for art. i can't compare these times, i always appreciate them though. it's one of my goals to be able to spend some more time on art some fine day. until then i continue like before, step by step, climbing my own mountain, like every other artist too i think.

That was quick, I thought you would be asleep already! Nice to know I'm not the only vampire lurking around =D On a side note, I've been starting to submit some photos to National Geographic with surprisingly good feedback so far. More specifically on their Your Shot section here: yourshot.nationalgeographic.co…

You might want to give it a try, I think you would have great content to submit there. They're quite selective about what you can submit and don't want photos with over-the-top adjustments, but they seem to accept HDR composites and other image adjustments as long they're made in "good faith" to better recreate what you saw in person.

I thought the National Geographic was just for people and nature.  I didn't realise that they accept architecture as well.  As for vampire, I don't suck on blood, but am known to munch on a pizza in the early hours of the morning. These days I only really have a pizza once or twice a month.  As for hdr files just let me know when you want them. :)  I am going to start trying doing portraits in the next few months, though I'll still be shooting architecture of course.  Hope you are doing well Nicolas. :)

Hehe by vampire I mean more of a night dweller :) For my last medical examination the doctor actually lectured me about lack of vitamin D that the sun provides naturally. I have this nasty habit of taking pictures in bursts for a week or 2, then retreating into a cave for a long time after =p

Not assuming you do the same, in fact I think you get out a lot more than I do... and that you might benefit from submitting to places to Nat Geo as well because I find it's a much more targeted audience than dA for example, placing a lot more emphasis on photographic merit. Versus things like anime, digital or traditional art to name a few - all of which have artistic merit - but where your photos might be better suited to like-minded photographers :)
