Away from home at a place I used to lived for 15 years in Bethesda, Maryland. Feared the worst as Hurricane Sandy hit the area and I'm basically house-sitting as my mother left for vacation in Europe right before the storm hit.

Even though the local authorities were warning us to prepare for a week without electricity, I am happy to say that I'm still in business and actually ready to hand out treats for Halloween

By that token, I would like to share this picture I took from a local botanical garden. Maybe a little late for Halloween, but hopefully still useful for Thanksgiving.
