Most official flags come with appropriate vector files available in the public domain... but as I was working my way through the US states, I noticed a few questionable designs. One of them being the Louisiana flag, and I figured I would submit my own vector trace of it, all plotted manually with bezier curves in Illustrator... a long work in process which required thousands of anchor points.
A personal template I used for grunging up the following: [link]
I am submitting this in vector format hoping that it will be more useful to you than the other flags you might find from Louisiana in vector format (many of which are outdated since the flag in its current form was updated in 2010).
I'm almost even willing to release it into the public domain (as I am grateful for all other public domain flags in vector format that I was able to use), but on one condition: If you redistribute the vector file as is, you have to link back to my deviantArt account.
Otherwise, please let me know if you have difficulty opening the file. I compressed it in zip format, which should then open as an EPS file (v10)
