Thank you Holly! I use a rather experimental process to blend textures and photos together, in this case by using tonal variations in certain colour ranges to generate custom layer masks. So the resulting image itself took maybe an hour (on top of the time of processing the 2 source images), it's the learning experience in Photoshop and pre-visualizing how colours might interact that have taken a couple years really. Still a lot of trial and error as the masks don't always work out as I imagine, but I like to think I'm learning from my mistakes :)
