Laying dormant since summer 2009, this image was captured in the Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia (Canada).
Seems every picture I take under cloudy weather turns out too dull for my liking, but luckily I bracket most all my landscapes in 3 separate exposures.
Still, I find it a challenge to process these bracketed exposures for HDR output when a cloudy day tends to dumb down the colours. To give you an idea, here's one of the exposures from my scraps gallery:
[link]Even when processing for HDR, these days I try my best to use it in a ways to balance the tones out without overdoing it on contrast & saturation... hoping the end result can be more usable as stock.
