Jumping a little ahead here on my drive East to the Maritimes, but I can't resist.

New Brunswick was nice, but Cape Breton in Nova Scotia was absolutely mesmerizing.

Drizzling the whole time where I stayed in Ingonish on the East side, but luckily I had my laptop and a wi-fi card to track the weather... and drove west towards the Acadian town of Cheticamp where the skies were relatively clear like you see here.

HDR composite from 3 separate exposures.

Very beautiful! I've never seen a stream that looked like this.

What is "Cabot"? Besides what's printed on this girl's shirt. [link]

Thank you very much :) John Cabot was an early explorer of North America, and in Nova Scotia they named a scenic route after him called the Cabot Trail

Glad you like it. I've traveled quite a bit in my life, but until the last couple years, I've kind of neglected the pristine beauty of the very own country I live in. I was absolutely mesmerized with the Maritime provinces, so much so that I wish one day I could live either in Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island. So serene, a big whiff of fresh air compared the hustle and bustle of Montreal.

Just to say, from one who lives on the island itself; this is beautiful. Not many days in the summer do we get such beautiful weather.
But when we do, it's amazing.
