Thanks for the suggestion Mike, I think I'll put the Soviet flag on my list for the next batch to process. Nowadays I'm trying to mix the flags up as I'm moving down less and less populated countries. There are a few I won't risk posting on dA though, some that might be considered too controversial and emotionally charged, but the Soviet flag should be ok since it's focused more on politics (from a nation that abandoned communism anyways).

I hear ya, I suspect I know which flags you speak of (i.e., "the sky wheel" and perhaps even the "Dixie" flag). Screw those flags ;) =D

As a history buff, I dig 20th century politics and my interest is purely artists. I think that flag would look cool with the grunge effect. Glad you're open to the idea. Thank you :]

Yeah I believe those are the 2, plus another "vibrant" one.

I've submitted the "Dixie" flag without issue on a paid microstock site because I find it does add another layer of aesthetic when mixing grunge and history together. But at least on that site users buy what they want with no option of faving or commenting, whereas here on dA faving a "Dixie" flag seems morally questionable. I will not touch the "sky wheel" however with a ten foot pole.
